Kubecon EU returned to Spain. This time to Valencia, city of paella and horchata and, of course, a great place for big events. We had a great time meeting you all in person, and attending the talks. Here are our hot takes from the event. The main event started on Wednesday, but before that different co-located events took place: Ebpf Day, Cloud Native SecurityCon, and PrometheusDay among others. These events gathered a large number of attendees.
During SnykWeek Boston, Simon Maple (Field CTO, Snyk) led a panel discussion about developer adoption of application security. The panelists included: Want the TL;DR? Here are some of our favorite takeaways: Read on to dive deeper into these illuminating insights around organizing security teams, setting security goals, empowering developers, improving compliance, and much more.
It was a busy week last week at KubeCon +CloudNativeCon Europe 2022 in Valencia, Spain. It seemed like the entire world related to Kubernetes came together after two years of being apart. It was fulfilling meeting up with our peers and gaining market insight- face-to-face. Catalogic’s core messaging this year has revolved around cyber-resilience for data protection.
Cyber breaches are everywhere, people are working from anywhere, and data creation is exploding. As a result, businesses want solutions that make data collaboration and governance easier and more secure, and MSPs are at the forefront of this market opportunity. Those opportunities were on full display last week as more than 250 managed service providers, technologists, and Egnyte leaders met virtually—and in-person in London—for Egnyte’s annual MSP Summit.
This week BlackHat Asia 2022 took place in hybrid mode. It’s one of the most important events within the #infosec community, where security experts show how far they can go. In this edition, the trend of talks and tools focused on improving the security of Kubernetes, Cloud Security or Supply Chain, either from the perspective of the blue team or the red team.

“Why focus on building your personal brand?” This was the first question that Elana Anderson, Chief Marketing Officer at Veracode, asked during her presentation Plotting the Course for Your Personal Brand at the recent Executive Women’s Forum (EWF). Anderson, a lifelong student of marketing, and a former analyst at Forrester Research, has a deep understanding of the importance of both corporate and personal brands and the steps necessary to both build and maintain a brand.
The TMF Summit, a clinical documentation management conference hosted by industry observer Fierce Biotech, was held in late October in New Orleans. There was plenty of talk about familiar topics such as data quality and integrity, as well as data submission workflows and monitoring. But what stood out this year was how the pandemic continues to reshape the industry.
A recap of my time at the CNCF’s signature conference, KubeCon + CloudNativeCon NA 2021. What an amazing week at the first in-person KubeCon + CloudNativeCon since the pandemic started. This KubeCon set a precedent as one of the first major conferences to bring back an in-person component! The theme this time around was Resilience Realized, and they put this on display at the top of the convention hall.
