On August 26th, 2025, Citrix patched CVE‑2025‑7775, a memory overflow vulnerability in NetScaler ADC and Gateway appliances that allows unauthenticated remote code execution (RCE) and/or denial-of-service. This threat is confirmed to be actively exploited in the wild. Citrix strongly emphasized that no mitigations exist aside from applying the patch immediately.

On August 26, 2025, Citrix released fixes for a critical vulnerability in Citrix NetScaler ADC and Gateway (CVE-2025-7775) that has been exploited on unpatched appliances. The issue stems from a memory overflow flaw that could allow Remote Code Execution (RCE) and/or Denial of Service (DoS) by remote threat actors.

The cybersecurity community is facing yet another critical infrastructure vulnerability that threatens enterprise networks worldwide. CVE-2025-5777, dubbed "CitrixBleed 2" by security researcher Kevin Beaumont, represents a dangerous out-of-bounds memory read vulnerability in Citrix NetScaler ADC and Gateway devices. This new flaw bears an unsettling resemblance to the original CitrixBleed (CVE-2023-4966), which was widely exploited by ransomware groups and nation-state actors in 2023.

In late June 2025, Arctic Wolf issued a security bulletin addressing a critical out-of-bounds read vulnerability in Citrix NetScaler ADC and Gateway that Citrix disclosed, tracked as CVE-2025-5777. This vulnerability affects NetScaler devices configured as a Gateway (VPN virtual server, ICA Proxy, CVPN, RDP Proxy) or AAA virtual server.

Two Citrix vulnerabilities (CVE-2024-8068 and CVE-2024-8069) can potentially lead to unauthenticated remote code execution. Note: according to the vendor, privilege escalation to NetworkService Account access in Citrix Session Recording and limited remote code execution with privilege of a NetworkService Account access in Citrix Session Recording is possible when an attacker is an authenticated user in the same intranet.

On May 6, 2024, Bishop Fox publicly disclosed a vulnerability along with a proof of concept (PoC) exploit in Citrix NetScaler ADC and Gateway, identified as an unauthenticated out-of-bounds memory read issue in the components used for Authentication, Authorization, and Auditing (AAA).

On January 16, 2024, Citrix published a security bulletin disclosing two zero-day vulnerabilities (CVE-2023-6548 & CVE-2023-6549) being actively exploited in Citrix NetScaler ADC and NetScaler Gateway.

Two vulnerabilities have been detected in in Citrix NetScaler ADC and NetScaler Gateway. These vulnerabilities are being tracked as CVE-2023-6549 and CVE-2023-6548 with CVSS scores of 8.2 and 5.5 respectively. They are under active exploitation, affecting the following product versions.

On November 21st, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Multi-State Information Sharing & Analysis Center (MS-ISAC), and Australian Signals Directorate’s Australian Cyber Security Center (ASD’s ACSC) released an advisory highlighting the ongoing exploit of the Citrix Bleed Vulnerability (CVE-2023-4966) by Lockbit 3.0 affiliates.
