Redscan Highly Commended at SC Awards 2021

In a strong shortlist of seven finalists, Redscan took home a High Commendation in the Best Managed Security Service category for the second consecutive year. We were also a finalist in the Best Customer Service and Best SME Solution categories. The SC Awards recognises the people, products and services that exemplify the best solutions for customers in the security industry.

Widespread Website Outages - Fastly CDN

Commencing just before 1000hrs UTC on June 8, 2021, widespread reports of high-profile websites being unavailable began to surface with visitors to these sites receiving ominous looking error messages (Figure 1). Figure 1 - Example outage message 'gov.uk' Initially, many of these error messages returned a HTTP error '503', advising the user that the service is unavailable, and these originated from a 'Varnish cache server' HTTP accelerator that was attempting to serve the intended content.

Python now fully supported in Snyk Code

Earlier this year, we announced the beta support for Python in Snyk Code. This beta period gave us the chance to let customers have access to our extensive collection of Python rules while we finished our knowledge base review and added curated content. We are happy to announce that this work has concluded, and Python is now a fully supported language. 🐍 🎉

Lookout and Jamf: Defending Against Mobile Threats

I’m pleased to share that Jamf and Lookout have formed a partnership to integrate Jamf Pro with Lookout Mobile Endpoint Security. Jamf provides mobile device management for Apple devices and specializes in serving IT professionals, schools and small businesses. Together, Lookout and Jamf enable your organization to deploy and provision iOS devices while protecting them against mobile threats such as phishing and network attacks.

We have more than a few reasons to be thrilled with the results of the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Application Security Testing. In our debut on the report, Snyk has been recognized as a Visionary. Additionally, we are placed furthest in the Visionaries quadrant for both Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute, and second-furthest for Completeness of Vision in the overall Magic Quadrant.

Veracode Named a Leader in 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Application Security Testing

Veracode has been named a Leader in the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Application Security Testing (AST) for the eighth consecutive year. Gartner evaluates vendors based on their completeness of vision and ability to execute in the application security testing (AST) market. This recognition comes just months after we were named Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for AST, proving, in our opinion, the strength of our AST offerings according to both experts and users.

Snyk debuts on 2021 CNBC Disruptor 50 List at #15

We are honored to share that Snyk has been named to the ninth annual CNBC Disruptor 50 List, coming in at #15! The full list, unveiled earlier this week, identifies 50 private companies “aligned with today’s rapid pace of technological change and poised to emerge from the pandemic as the next generation of business leaders.” The pandemic accelerated digital transformation and associated cybersecurity concerns.

Snyk takes on responsibility for Node.js ecosystem vulnerability disclosure program
