Can You Ride Velero for Your Kubernetes Backups?

Modern containerized applications are increasingly born in the cloud and the big three managed Kubernetes services – Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) – rule the skies. With more users picking managed services in public cloud as their preferred platform, self-managing a backup infrastructure in the cloud is an antithesis.

Multi-Cloud Kubernetes Backup and Any2Cloud Recovery at KubeCon NA 2022

With over 300 vendors exhibiting at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2022 (which is the long and official conference name), there was no shortage of early-stage vendors (230 at the silver and startup sponsor level) to visit for the 7000 attendees. Observability and security solutions were popular for the early-stage exhibitors.

DevOps backups vs. ransomware - best security and compliance practices

Ransomware is still on the rise and does not bypass DevOps ecosystems and SaaS services. Backup is the final line of defense against ransomware so it should be ransomware-proof itself. Watch the video and check on how to ensure the security and continuity of operations in your DevOps environments. Join the discussion of Mackenzie Jackson, Developer Security Advocate at GitGuardian, and Greg Bak, Product Development Manager at GitProtect to learn more about.

With a simple snapshot, backup and restore, you are ready to use Kubernetes to deliver the next generation of data intensive solutions for your business.

Keeping your Kubernetes Backup Data Private with Azure Private Link

At CloudCasa, as a cloud-native backup-as-a-service provider, we are often dealing with customer concerns about the security and privacy of their data. Sometimes the concern is almost paradoxical because the data and application they are protecting is publicly accessible and running inside the public cloud. However, there are times when organizations use public cloud infrastructure with a network architecture that resembles a private cloud.

Using Longhorn v1.3 CSI Snapshots for Backup and Recovery

With the release of Longhorn v1.3.0, CloudCasa by Catalogic is happy to announce that it fully supports the backup and recovery of Longhorn persistent volumes (PVs) on Kubernetes clusters. While previous versions of Longhorn supported volume snapshots and the CSI interface, Longhorn v1.3 introduced full support for the CSI snapshot interface so it can now be used to trigger volume snapshots in a cluster.
