API attacks are on the rise, and WAFs and gateways cannot stop them. A few highlights from our latest Salt Labs report on API security:

• 400% increase in unique attackers targeting Salt customers when compared to six months ago
• 94% of survey respondents experienced security problems in production APIs within the past year
• 31% experienced a sensitive data exposure and 17% suffered a data breach resulting from API security gaps
• 48% of survey respondents say that API security is now a C-level discussion
