In this episode of CISO Conversations: EU Data Regulations, Nicolas Groh, Field CTO at Rubrik, is joined by Anastasiya Kiseleva, a PhD Researcher in Law, Health, and Technologist at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, John Noble, Former Non-Executive Director at NHS England, and Dr. Stefan Buttigieg, Resident Specialist in Public Health Medicine at the Ministry for Health and Active Aging in Malta.

They discuss the evolution of data management in healthcare, focusing on the need for improved security alongside rapid digital transformation, the growing importance of cybersecurity in response to the pandemic, and the role of the European Health Data Space in enabling secure and responsible data sharing in healthcare across the EU.

Anastasiya is doing international and interdisciplinary PhD research funded and supported by the EUTOPIA program. Her research is on the transparency of AI in healthcare from legal and technical perspectives. As an active member of the Health and Ageing Law Lab (HALL) at VUB, Anastasiya researches and speaks on different topics in health law and technologies, including the European Health Data Space, AI-based medical devices, genetic testing, and editing with AI.

For the past five years, John has served as a Non-Executive Director at NHS Digital, overseeing the core IT systems for the UK's National Health Service, which is about 1.2 million daily logins. Recently, he transitioned to NHS England, where he leads cybersecurity efforts. Before that, John was a Director at the UK's National Cyber Security Centre, managing incident responses for over 800 cyber breaches.

Dr. Buttigieg is a Specialist in Public Health Medicine, a Keynote Speaker with a 50+ public speaking engagements track record, and an avid content creator. He lectures at the University of Malta on the topics of Digital Health, Social Media in Healthcare, and Digital Therapeutics. Additionally, Dr. Buttigieg is the Vice-President of the Digital Health Section at the European Public Health Association (EUPHA).
