Introducing Landscape Mode, Passphrases and Other Improvements to KeeperFill
Intro
KeeperFill is Keeper’s powerful, autofilling feature that works across all devices, allowing you to automatically and securely fill your usernames, passwords, passkeys, 2FA codes and more into the sites you visit.
Landscape Mode
Our latest update to KeeperFill allows users to customize their viewing experience with the ability to expand the extension window via “Landscape Mode”. KeeperFill’s beautifully designed, dual-pane window allows you to view your record details and records list at the same time – providing seamless access to what you need most.
You can easily flip between “Landscape” and “Portrait” mode with a single click of a button on your extension toolbar.
Vault Shortcut
Along with new visual enhancements to the user interface, we’ve added a vault shortcut, which can be quickly accessed by clicking on the Keeper icon in the top left corner of your toolbar window.
Passphrase Generator
With Passphrases emerging as a superior alternative to traditional passwords, Keeper’s Passphrase Generator has been seamlessly integrated into the KeeperFill Browser Extension, enabling both enhanced security and usability across our platforms, including vault, desktop and mobile.
When generating a passphrase for a new or existing record, click the dice icon, select the dropdown menu next to “Type” and select Passphrase.
You can customize your passphrase by setting the length between 5 and 20 words, choosing whether you'd like capital letters and numbers to be included in your passphrase and selecting from several word separators.
Check the box if you'd like to make your selections the default settings for all passphrases moving forward.
As you can see, passphrases are typically longer and more complex than standard passwords, making them significantly harder to crack through brute force attacks.
Upgraded Password Generator
While we were at it, we upgraded our password generator as well. You can now select which symbols you’d like to include in your passwords, making matching site-specific password requirements far easier.
Additionally, character type selection is now more granular. Use the checkboxes to select whether you’d like lowercase letters, uppercase letters, numbers and symbols included in your generated passwords.
Conclusion
KeeperFill is available for every web browser including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Opera, Brave and any other Chromium-based browser.
