How to Migrate Your Legacy CurrentWare Software to the New Web Console (2022 Tutorial) | CurrentWare
In this video you will learn how to easily upgrade from the legacy desktop version of the CurrentWare Suite to the new web console.
By upgrading to the web console you'll gain access to a variety of new capabilities, including:
1) Remote access to the admin console from the convenience of a web browser from any computer in your network (optional off-network access methods available)
2) Dynamic user activity dashboards in AccessPatrol and BrowseReporter
3) An updated user interface that is easier to navigate and capable of supporting a more diverse feature set
Any CurrentWare version before 6.0.1 will need to follow these steps to complete the upgrade to the web console.
Upgrading your legacy CurrentWare solutions to the new web console is a simple process; the installation wizards will guide you through every step of the way.
Transitioning is as easy as 3 key phases
1) Creating the new SQL database
2) Upgrading your CurrentWare server and console
3) Migrating your data from the legacy Firebird database to your new SQL database
That’s it! You’ll not even need to redeploy your CurrentWare Clients; each client will receive the latest client updates once they reconnect to your new CurrentWare Server.
